Custom-made earpieces
The custom-made ear-bud is an insert that can be made with different materials, usually acrylic or silicone resins. It is necessary for keeping the hearing device fix and routing the heightened signal to the eardrum. The earpiece is obtained from the mould of the external ear and has to offer a satisfactory acoustic tightness. It has to be adjusted for the best performance of the hearing aid, unchanged for long periods, aesthetically accepted by the patient, easy to use, not causing allergies.
