It perfectly reproduces the auditory canal and the auricle. A ring allows linking the concha and the helix at the antitragus level and then it descends and joins towards the concha up to the ear canal. The ring can be of different thickness; if it is thin, we prefer the appearance, if the ring is thicker it blocks and gives more balance to the earpiece. It can be made of rigid acrylic material, soft acrylic or silicone. It is normally used for rear aural hearing aid or implemented in the earpiece of eyeglasses. It is recommended for soft, moderate or medium serious hearing loss.
